BACKGROUND INFORMATION
· Company formed in 1959 by Steve Krar, Bill Oswald, and Joe St. Amand to write a basic machine tool text titled “MACHINE SHOP TRAINING”
· This was followed by 64 texts, some of the more popular being: TECHNOLOGY of MACHINE TOOLS, MACHINE TOOL OPERATIONS – VISUTEXT, TURNING TECHNOLOGY, DRILLING TECHNOLOGY, GRINDING TECHNOLOGY, CNC TECHNOLOGY and PROGRAMMING, SUPERABRASIVES – GRINDING and MACHINING, MACHINE TOOL and MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY, The ILLUSTRATED DICTIONARY of METALWORKING and MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY, CNC SIMPLIFIED, CNC SIMPLIFIED MULTIMEDIA CD.
· Some books have been translated into Spanish, French, Korean, Greek, plus being published in Mexico, Montreal, Singapore, Korea, and Taiwan.
· Over the course of 43 years, 15 different authors, each with specific expertise, have been part of the author team.
· Research, an important part of the operation, continues with leading companies in the world to keep the books as current and accurate as possible.
· Technology updating courses, working with industry, and research trips are a normal part of staying up to date with new technology.
· Eleven (11) companies throughout the world, which includes McGraw-Hill, Delmar Publishers, and Industrial Press have published or printed the books.
· Sales of books and educational projects have passed 1,000,000 copies.
· Editorial services are presently being provided for Industrial Press, New York, NY and Advanced Manufacturing Magazine, Burlington, ON.
